The Christmas time, the most quiet time of the year
Lovely decorations at candlelight, but especially the delicious scent of homemade Christmas biscuits conveys a feeling of warmth and cosiness. The charm of the Advent on the romantic Christmas markets is an invitation for the many visitors to buy little souvenirs, typically local products and Christmas presents at the festive Christmas market stalls. All the South Tyrolean Christmas markets can be comfortably reached by car from our house.
In the following South Tyrolean towns there are the Christmas markets from November to the beginning of January:Selva/Wolkenstein, Ortisei, S. Cristina in Val Gardena, Bressanone, Bolzano, Merano, Brunico and Vipiteno
„Mountain Christmas“ in Selva Val Gardena, from the beginning of December 2024
Selva Val Gardena is getting ready for a very special Christmas: This Christmas in Selva, from the 6th of December until the first week of January 2025.
"Nadel da mont", this is what this unique Christmas market, with mountain village character in Selva Val Gardena is called. The idyllic village of Selva is located in the heart of the Dolomites and offers endless ski fun thanks to the connection to the ski carousel "Sellaronda". From the 6th of December until the first week of January 2024 a touch of slope flair will be brought into the village center of Selva. Original Christmas cabins will be floating over many luminous huts and creating a magical Christmas world that can be experienced with all senses.
